Pop-Ups I Want to Pop Up

Can I just say, "Wow!"

Orbitz.com has created innovative, approachable web advertising -- something that the web industry has labored over for years. I have been approached by their interactive advertising games several times over the past week or so and I love it!

Most frequently, I come across the pop-ups while on newspaper Web sites boston.com and usatoday.com, and have invested my time in such games as mini golf and a game called Stacker that is something like Skiball meets Connect Four. View game here -- although I'm not sure the permalink works.

After a few clicks on the pop up you are directed to the Orbitz site, but can continue playing at your leisure. There are even levels to master.

Bravo, Orbitz. Online advertising just got a little more tolerable and a whole lot more fun. I am getting increasingly tired of those Netflix ads. (Not working.)
